Escorted tour organized by Plant Expeditions and guided by Guillermo Rivera and local garden guides. Visit the most iconic and relevant gardens from both tropical Florida and all throughout California. Our tour will include famous gardens in Florida such as Fairchild with the largest Palm collection in the world, recently renovated Naples Botanical Gardens, and renowned Selby Botanical Garden with its beautiful grounds overlooking Sarasota Bay. We will fly to San Diego, California, where we will visit tropical conservatory Balboa Park, as well as San Diego Botanical Gardens. In Los Angeles, a day long visit to Huntington Botanical Gardens will let us appreciate 12 different grounds: Japanese, Chinese, Desert, Palm, Shakespeare, Subtropical, Jungle gardens, among others. A drive north will take us to Santa Barbara, where we will spend a day at Lotusland then continue on through famous road 1 to Monterrey where a visit to its aquarium is a must. Our tour will end in San Francisco, visiting Golden Gate park with it new flower conservatory, Berkeley botanical garden, and a visit to Red Muir woods home to some of the oldest and tallest trees on Earth: Sequoia.

During this trip we shall visit: Selby Gardens (Sarasota) Naples B.G., Fairchild Gardens (Miami), San Diego Botanical Gardens, Huntington Gardens (Pasadena), Los Angeles Arboretum, Lotusland (Santa Barbara), Conservatory of Flowers, Golden Gate Park (San Francisco),Muir Woods National Monument, and others. We will also visit some famous nurseries/growers like Tropiflora, Michaels Bromeliads, etc.

15 days all inclusive. I do recommend to plan an extension to this tour: Yosemite National Park, Napa Valley, and of course the city of San Francisco are all worth staying a few days longer
