Baja California (long tour)

From San Diego to Cabo - best weather and cactus in flower!

The Baja Peninsula is one of Mexico’s richest areas for plants.

With the Cactus and Succulent Society of America Biennial Convention in San Diego in 2025, this is the perfect opportunity to do this pre-convention tour of Baja California.

Cactus species are abundant: Ferocactus, Echinocereus, Mammillaria, Stenocereus, Lophocereus and of course choyas! Because of its isolation, the peninsula includes quite a few endemics, like Pachycereus pringlei, Echinocereus lindseyi, Lophocereus schottii, among others. Many other interesting plants grow in Baja: Dudleya, Agave, Fouquieria, Euphorbia, etc.

The scenery is spectacular, clear water, beaches, and of course, a visit to a few islands complete this magical trip!
