Starting and ending in Belo Horizonte, this journey will take you through the states of Minas Gerais and Bahia. The habitats of Cerrado, Caatinga, and Atlantic Forest are well represented in these states allowing for a great diversity of many Brazilian genera of cacti: Uebelmania, Micranthocereus, Melocactus, Pilosocereus, among others.
A journey of over 2500 miles (4000 km) that is well worth the drive!
