Gardens of the USA

Escorted tour organized by Plant Expeditions, guided by Guillermo Rivera and local garden guides. Visit the most iconic and relevant gardens from both tropical Florida and all throughout California. Our tour will include famous gardens in Florida such as Fairchild with the largest Palm collection in the world, Naples Botanical Gardens, and renowned Selby Botanical Garden with its beautiful grounds overlooking Sarasota Bay.

We will then fly to San Diego, California, where we will visit the tropical conservatory Balboa Park, as well as San Diego Botanical Gardens. In Los Angeles, a day long visit to Huntington Botanical Gardens will let us appreciate 12 different grounds: Japanese, Chinese, Desert, Palm, Shakespeare, Subtropical, Jungle gardens, among others. A drive north will take us to Santa Barbara, where we will spend a day at Lotusland then continue on via the famous 'Highway 1' to Monterrey where a visit to its aquarium is a must.

Our tour will end in San Francisco, visiting Golden Gate Park with its new flower conservatory, Berkeley botanical garden, and a visit to Red Muir woods home to see some of the oldest and tallest trees on Earth: Sequoia sempervirens.
